.tech is a generic top-level domain, delegated in 2015, and IANA records Radix Technologies Inc. as its sponsoring organisation, in the Cayman Islands. The registry points registrants at radix.website for registration services. That delegation record was last updated on 14 Apr 2026; if the registry has changed hands since, IANA is where it shows up first.

Radix sets no qualifying criteria for .tech. What it requires of a registrant is a registration agreement with an ICANN-accredited registrar and compliance with ICANN's consensus policies, including the UDRP and Uniform Rapid Suspension. Its acceptable use and anti-abuse policy applies to every Radix TLD and binds both the name and the person holding it; registry functions run on CentralNic's platform. Names in ICANN's Specification 5 schedule are reserved across all Radix TLDs, and Radix reserves further names, premium inventory included, which it may release later. Its registry agreement with ICANN, signed 30 January 2015, is recorded as Base, Non-Sponsored — no sponsoring community stands behind the extension, so there is no community test to pass.

Availability of .tech names is checked against the registry's own RDAP server (rdap.radix.host) and DNS-over-HTTPS. On this site your browser asks that server directly for a first, provisional answer; our server's check confirms it, and only that answer is cached. Premium suspects (such as very short names) and brand-protected labels also get a third signal, Fastly Domain Research, before they are shown as available.
